The RC46 of the International Sociological Association Award for Outstanding Scholarship (established 2011) honors recent contributions – in the form of a journal article, book chapter or research report – to the field of clinical sociology. The award is a certificate (non-monetary award) and is presented at an official meeting of RC46.

Eligibility

The award for Outstanding Scholarship honors recent contributions – in the form of a journal article, book chapter or research report – to the field of clinical sociology. The publication or report should have been issued within the last four years (from the deadline for nominations). 

Award Committee

The committee is composed of a chair and two other members of RC46. The chair will be an officer or other member of the RC46 executive committee. The chair and committee members will be selected by the RC46 officers.

Nominations

The awards committee will consider nominations and self-nominations. Nominations and self-nominations – including a letter of nomination or self-nomination, the curriculum vitae of the RC46 member being nominated, the publication or report and two letters of support – must be electronically submitted as a package to the chair of the awards committee. A single author or the lead co-author must be a member of the ISA and RC46 at the time of nomination and award. Only RC46 members are permitted to make nominations. The deadline for nominations for this award is set by the President of RC46.
