It aims to build a global community who can access and share resources in various languages through an open participatory approach to research, policy, pedagogy, practices and images.
This category of membership is for research institutions and universities or their departments, as well as other associations of sociologists active in the field of sociology.
An affiliated collective member from a country or groups of countries not represented in the ISA by a national sociological association, may be granted temporary regular collective member status by the Executive Committee, subject to ratification by the Council of National Associations.

Membership fees are divided into 3 categories, A, B and C, according to the gross national income per capita of the economy of countries. See the Table of Economies to identify the categoy of the economy of your country.
Annual fees for each category are:
