RC28 Social Stratification

RC28 Travel Awards

RC28 provides assistance to RC28 student members and members in special needs by subsidizing their travel to RC28 conferences, in order to present their work. Travel awards are given in recognition of good scholarship in the field of social stratification. The applicant’s paper must be accepted by the conference’s organizer. Awards will not exceed 750 US dollars, and are given only once in a four-year period to the same person.

There are three named travel awards: the Jaap Dronkers travel award, the Aage B. Sørensen travel award, and Alan C. Kerckhoff travel award. In addition, several RC28 travel awards are given at each RC28 conference.

Details and deadlines are available at the RC28 website.
